Mid engined for sure, single exhaust, and it might ride rough. Shocker is diesel power. Torque monster. Development cycles being what they are you have to start early.

Shit that corvette is so manual operated though that it takes more than a dozen guys just to drive it. Thats some next level manual transmission. Next level technology right there, voice activated speed changes! You scream PORT THRUSTERS into a radio and BAM like magic you are turning.

Fun fact, my great great uncle owned one of these after the war that was still armed - he converted it to a freighter, but they had to give it to him armed as the sales contract stated ‘as is where is’, and the dismantling company didn’t have the weapons removed by the time the final sales date came into effect!

He placed the rear deck gun on the lawn of their home in Lahave, Nova Scotia (disabled, of course), it stayed there as a local landmark long after they passed away until somewhere around 2012 or so...

HMCS Halifax was the one in our case! The last Flower class Corvette is at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax, Nova Scotia...gorgeous old girl - HMCS Sackville!
